Direct works when the relationship already carries the trust
Known airlines, MROs, and distributors already understand your quality system and your paperwork. Selling to them directly can be faster and can avoid introducing a new commercial layer.
Direct also concentrates risk. One buyer鈥檚 procurement freeze, one expired approval on their vendor list, or one inbox that nobody monitors can leave the same stock unsold.
A marketplace is a way to be found with a file attached
Buyers you do not already know will not grant you the benefit of a five-year relationship. They need the article, the condition, and the documents in a form they can forward internally. A structured listing is built for that handoff.
On TabAir the product sale is between the buyer and the supplier named in the transaction record. TabAir charges a published platform fee and coordinates the workflow. It does not become the owner of your inventory because the listing sits on the site.

Do not double-sell the same promise
If a unit is listed in more than one place, you need a rule for who updates every channel when it is reserved or sold. Two buyers told the part is free is a commercial failure, not a marketing success.
Keep payment and document promises consistent with the channel鈥檚 rules. Moving a deal off-platform to avoid a fee after the introduction happened there can breach marketplace rules and leaves you without the record.
Choose by unit, not by ideology
High-demand material with a complete file can support a patient direct negotiation. Slow or one-off surplus often needs more than your current contact list. Use the channel that can actually put the unit in front of a buyer who is allowed to say yes.
Whichever route you use, the acceptance decision stays with the buyer. A marketplace introduction does not replace their technical review, and a direct purchase order does not repair a weak file.

Pick the channel for the unit, then obey it
Direct accounts are efficient when the buyer already knows your file and your people. A marketplace is useful when the buyer does not know you and needs the article described in a form their quality team can read. Use both when you can keep one inventory status.
The failure is promising the same serial in two places. Write the rule for a reservation: how many minutes you have to remove or mark the unit everywhere else. If you cannot meet that rule, do not list the unit in the second channel.
Fees differ by channel, and that can justify a different price. The article must not differ. A buyer who finds two conditions for one serial number will believe neither description.
Do not walk a marketplace introduction off the record
Once an enquiry has started on TabAir, keep the documents and the commercial summary there. Moving the buyer to a private chat to avoid a fee breaks the record the buyer thought they had, and it can breach the marketplace rules.
The product sale remains between the buyer and the supplier named in the transaction record. TabAir coordinates the workflow and charges the published platform fee. It does not become the owner of your stock because the listing is on the site.
Whichever channel wins, the buyer's technical acceptance still happens. A purchase order from an old customer does not repair a missing release, and a marketplace message does not replace receiving.
List with a record
Bring stock to buyers who ask for the file, not only the price
Apply as a seller, complete the review TabAir requests, and describe condition and documents in a way a buyer can evaluate.
